Press conference on the occasion of a Tourist Guide release

On 6th Marchch, on the Tumska barge in Wrocław, there was held a press conference, devoted to the promotion of new tourist guide to canoeing “Wrocław from the Oder  is even more beautiful”, written  by Bohdan Krakowski. International Commission for the Protection of the Oder River had the honor to become the publisher. The meeting was attended by the spokesmen of the "Civitas Christiana" Oder Lobbying association, social activists, the representatives of institutions connected with shipping, clubs and organizations that promote canoeing and other water sports on the Oder.
     
Tourist development of the Oder River is of great importance for Wrocław, but the river advantages are still unappreciated in terms of water tourism. We should  popularize and promote Wroclaw waterways and encourage ordinary citizens to engage in water tourism - sailing, canoeing, rowing, motorboat tourism - as well as to participate in rallies, races and other events.

This is the purpose of the published  guide.

ICPO  also tries to popularize these ideas and takes an active part in regattas and boating events organized by the Tumski Hotel; at the same time ICPO prepares so called information points, where one can get information about the ICPO activities and read other promotional materials.
 

The press conference was also an opportunity to present the ICPO introductory materials and inform about our activities.
