The Polish Education, Organic Products and Equipment Centre, The Eco-nature Association grants the Laurels of Eco-Friendship, which honor the activities of those who have contributed significantly to the increase of ecological awareness. This is an event of national character. The laurels - bronze statuettes made by Stanisław Wysocki - are the only award in Poland honoring in the field of environmental education. They are granted in three categories: for the assiduous, trusted members who support the idea of environmental education in Poland, for the institutions supporting environmental education and environmental protection, and for individuals for their outstanding contribution to the ecology.
This year on April 14 there will be held the third edition of Laurels granting in the Hall of John Paul II at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences. The ceremony will be accompanied by conference entitled "The causes and effects of climate change in the context of environmental education". During the conference the lectures will be presented by: Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University Professor, Ph.D. Stanislaw Sta¶ko, dean of the Faculty of Economics, University Professor. Ph. D. Andrzej Graczyk, director of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management in Warsaw, professor, Ph.D., Eng. Mieczyslaw Ostojski and Malgorzata Malinowska – Kindergarten No. 27 Teacher. The ceremony will be attended by friends of the Eco-Nature Association from academic, government, political, journalistic, and business circles and entrepreneurs in the field of ecology.
